A lot of people are calling these newer sites "dating sites." Using science to match people with one another instead of the old fashioned ways. These so called "dating sites" have an excellent track record so far - many marriages and engagements have been created, and a very large percentage of the people using these sites report great satisfaction. Instead of two people getting together because of some superficial attraction, people are matched at a very deep and powerful level that goes far beyond the norm. Men & Women on the Down Low
The closer a secret is kept, the more powerful the impact once it is finally revealed. Such is the case with author and activist J.L. King's intriguing look at the lives and lifestyles of black men who sleep with other men but do not consider themselves to be gay. These men live "on the down low," the "DL" for short, and their sexual activities have gained significant notice as the rate of HIV/AIDS infection in black women has skyrocketed, with the vast majority of cases coming from heterosexual sex. King is a veteran of the DL himself and his book serves partly as a social and psychological survey of the other men he has surveyed and partly as highly candid memoir. King was well regarded in his community, popular at his church, successful in his career, and married to a woman who had no idea that his secret life existed. But when she caught him in a lie and with another man, the marriage collapsed and King's long and painful path to self-awareness began. King cites the negative image many socially conservative black men have of homosexuality as an obstacle to those men being honest with their partners and themselves about who they are. Among the more intriguing elements of On the Down Low are the peculiar approaches men on the DL have to the sexual act, seeking a strictly physical sexual relationship with their secret male partners while remaining in more traditional arrangements with women. With that said ladies gents please educate yourself more on this so that the choice is yours when dating and meeting new love interest.
Relationships
Exactly what should one look for when choosing a lifelong partner? How important is attraction? How important is compatibility? What should one look for? Ok now attraction is definitely needed to even take the time or make the effort to give a guy your number and for fellas to even attempt to ask the lady for her number and take her out. Attraction is normally the drivers necessary for the courtship to take place; however have you ever asked yourself why it is that when marriages were arranged they lasted and the divorce rates were 10 times lower than they are now? Attraction is a driver but attraction is not an important necessity to the success of relationship. The most important necessities to forming and maintaining a successful relationship are, compatibility, common goal sharing, recognition of partnership, respect, concern and recognizing that although the two have become one the need to respect each other’s individuality in VERY important.
